Kathryn is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who holds a Master’s in Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Family Science, both from Samford University. Kathryn is a certified Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner and is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, equipping her to help individuals and couples build strong, healthy relationships. She is also trained in Prepare and Enrich, which she uses to support premarital couples as they strengthen communication, explore relationship dynamics, and prepare for marriage.
She specializes in working with individuals, couples, and families navigating challenges such as attachment issues, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, and grief. She has a desire to work with spouses who have experienced betrayal trauma and is working toward her CPTT (Certified Partner Trauma Therapist) certification. Kathryn has a passion for creating a safe and nurturing environment where clients feel empowered to process their emotions and develop resilience.
Kathryn has three years of experience as a school counselor and previously worked with foster parents to provide support and resources for successful caregiving. Outside of her clinical work, Kathryn enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going on walks, and reading a good book.
