Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
Kathryn is passionate about helping individuals and couples heal from painful experiences, strengthen relationships, and build deeper emotional connection. She strives to create a compassionate and emotionally safe environment where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow through life’s challenges.
Kathryn is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who holds a Master’s in Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Family Science, both from Samford University. She is a certified Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner and is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), helping individuals and couples build stronger, healthier relationships. Kathryn is also trained in Prepare and Enrich, which she uses to support premarital couples as they strengthen communication, explore relationship dynamics, and prepare for marriage with confidence and intentionality.
She specializes in working with individuals, couples, and families navigating challenges such as attachment issues, trauma, anxiety, grief, and major life transitions. Kathryn is especially passionate about supporting spouses who have experienced betrayal trauma, helping clients process pain, rebuild safety, and move toward healing and clarity as she works toward her CPTT (Certified Partner Trauma Therapist) certification.
Kathryn has three years of experience as a school counselor and previously worked with foster parents, providing support and resources to help families thrive in the caregiving process. Her approach is warm, relational, and grounded in helping clients develop resilience while fostering meaningful and lasting change.
Outside of her clinical work, Kathryn enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on walks, and reading a good book.
