Coleman Jennings

Counseling Intern

Coleman is an intern completing his Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and will be joining the practice upon completion. A native of Birmingham, he graduated from Vestavia Hills High School and then received his B.S. in Psychology from Birmingham Southern College.

During college, he played soccer all four years and played semi-pro for Lionsbridge FC and then a season at UAB while in graduate school.  His love for soccer goes beyond being an athlete to coaching and leading youth camps and giving personal instruction. He has helped Vestavia High School as an assistant coach, as well as an assistant coach at Birmingham Southern.

In addition, Coleman has the life experience that has given him a heart for connecting with those who face the wide array of life’s challenges and struggles. For the teenager, young adult, or college student who struggles with depression, anxiety, peer pressure, substance abuse/addiction, alongside other challenges in this season of life, Coleman is especially gifted in creating a place of refuge and safety. He is welcoming and gentle, real and relatable, and seeks to provide comfort and direction in the pathway to health.

In his free time, Coleman enjoys worship and activities in his church, fellowship with his friends and family, and trying to keep up with his yellow lab, Chief. He remains very active in a multitude of sports, including soccer, weightlifting and golf.
